Global Travel Group’s focus on member training days

After a jam-packed 25th anniversary year which included several member VIP trips, our first Global Rocks summer party event, numerous Global Gatherings with Business Development Managers and the unforgettable annual conference in Orlando, Florida, Global members have plenty to look forward to for the rest of 2019!

This year, Global have placed focus on member training to ensure that our members are confident in selling various destinations and products with the help of our tour operator partners. Along with weekly online training sessions such as Webinar Wednesday, Global have secured many product specific training days around the country.

Due to the new Package Travel Regulations introduced last year, Global Travel Group has organised three dedicated PTR training days this March & April in North, Central and South regions to support our travel agent members across the UK.

Global Travel Group have also seen a massive shift in the Touring market and as such, in June, we’re hosting touring training days across the country which will see preferred touring suppliers educate our members on their product to build on the fantastic growth we’ve seen in recent months.

Soon after, back by popular demand, on July 4th we’re throwing our second Global Rocks Summer Festival at Carden Park Hotel, Chester. An afternoon filled with entertainment, food, marketplace networking and not forgetting dancing the night away. Check out last year’s event video to see what you missed out on!

On 25th July, Global will be hosting a cruise training day in Liverpool which will include lunch on board the Azamara Journey® as well as networking opportunities within nearby Mercure Liverpool Atlantic Tower Hotel. A fantastic opportunity for our members to experience a ship visit and networking event all in one go! Then lastly, towards the end of the year we’ll be hosting Luxury training events across the UK – Keep your eyes peeled!

We have a Business Development team who work on the road to support our members who will also be hosting Global Gatherings across the UK in and amongst our core events. This will give members a chance to meet up with other Global members and share best practice, discuss hot topics and network with their BDM.
