Off Broadway Travel joined The Global Travel Group in October 1997 as we were interested in their booking system and also the fact that our clients’ money was protected in The Global Travel Group Client Account. We are experienced travel agents that require little assistance, however it is nice especially as an independent to have the support should we need it in an ever changing industry. Through the relationship with our Business Development Manager, we have grown our business and Global Head Office have always been on hand to help out with IT issues, Tour Operators who need urgent payments, and also the marketing material that is always on offer.
Although I am a home worker, working alone, with the help & support from everybody from the head office you never feel isolated, and in the early days of starting the business that has been fundamental in being able to focus on growing my company. I must also mention the fantastic 2 week training programme with Rob. I felt like I was going back to school for the first time in over 20 years, but the training was first class and I can honestly say I loved every minute of the two weeks I spent with Rob in the classroom.
Escape Worldwide joined The Global Travel Group in 2002 as they gave us the ability to start a travel business from scratch, with commercial agreements in place, reservations technology installed and support & advice available. Over the years we’ve been able to develop in the direction we wish, and The Global Travel Group have supported us in this. We now specialise in particular destinations and work closely with specific tour operators, and The Global Travel Group recognise what we do – and what we don’t do – and help us with this. There’s always someone available for us to speak to whether we have a commercial query, an IT issue or an accounts question, and it’s great that we’re treated as part of the Global family, rather than just another agent.
ItsSo Travel joined The Global Travel Group in late 2015 and it has proved to be a fantastic decision for our business. We came into this with some travel experience behind us but the support, systems and supplier relationships of The Global Travel Group have elevated our agency to the next level. From the initial training to the setting up of suppliers and the ongoing support and accounts functions, the process has become very easy. The main advantage for us of being part of Global is being able to run our business the way we want to. We have complete ownership of our clients and can operate in the way that suits us. All this with the knowledge that the team at The Global Travel Group are there to support us should we need them, which we often have done! The marketing support is very good also.

I have been in travel since 1987, wanting to open my own business was always my ambition and The Global Travel Group has helped right from the off – the training at Chester I received when I first joined was great, and the set-up at the premises was brilliant. The IT side of Global has always been a real benefit for me, not being computer minded, IT are there to help out with any tech queries I have (and are always patient!) Their in-house booking system has been a great system and user friendly.
The pressure has been taken off with the accounts side of the business – not having to sending payments to suppliers and having that done for me has been good, which left me to concentrate on the selling side – accounts not being my forte!!
Commercial have been a great asset to me and probably the most valuable, resolving any problems with suppliers, commission queries, they are there to help with all those important issues – for me – the most important side of the business.
I definitely feel that if it wasn’t for The Global Travel Group I wouldn’t be here!!
